Winter 2: Beth & Ben

Welcome back to Drama Llama! Last time with Beth and Ben, Ben made some enemies, visited Moonwood Mill where he met his current fiancé Celene Lopez, Beth spent a lot of time working and skilling, but she met her girlfriend Mao Hara, both Celene and Mao moved in, and upon discovering that Mao was already an adult, Beth and Mao both ended up pregnant!

I bought Ben some snow boarding and rock climbing skill books, so he doesn’t have to go up the mountain everytime he wants to increase his skill…
I HATE SKILL BOOKS IN THIS GAME! WHY IS THIS NEEDLESSLY COMPLICATED???

So… I set Ben up to read the skill book, after a random amount of time which seems to vary he will suddenly stop and put the book back on the shelf, so I have to get the book in order for him to continue reading it. It got to the point where I took away the bookshelf, but he still tries to put it back and ends up route failing cause there is no bookshelf!!! Sims reading skill books works soooooooooo much better in Sims 3 than Sims 4. In Sims 3 your sim just sits and reads the book and doesn’t stop until you tell them too! And then they just stick the book in their inventory!

Beth is on the last milestone of her aspiration, she just has to get 8 skills to level 8, so she’s working on her painting.

Mao is working on writing a book for her aspiration.

Beth ends up moving to chess/logic, while I continue to fight with Ben to read the DAMN SKILL BOOKS!

Beth rolled a whim to befriend Celene, so the two of them do some chatting.

Celene needs to throw a lot of parties for her aspiration, so she throws a regular house party!

Beth and Ben’s family are basically the only attendants.

Mao was unable to write due to a pregnancy mood swing, so she spent some time dancing… She was basically the only one to do so.

These two are currently engaged, so they’ll probably have a wedding later this rotation.

Ben decides to befriend Mao… I think he’s being nice cause he doesn’t want to piss off his sister, especially since she’s pregnant.

These two may both be pregnant, but they’re still only dating.

Look at those matching bellies!

I kind of want the babies to have the same last name, so… Mao proposes!

Then the two of them quickly elope beside the stairs.

The next morning Mao doesn’t make it to the toilet in time.
Mao: “Damn it! The baby is sitting on my bladder!”

Ben rolls a want to flirt with Sarah.

At the same time he rolls a want to woohoo with Celene! Talk about mixed message. MAKE UP YOUR MIND BEN!!

One of Beth’s skills is cooking, she’s getting close to level 8 now.
Beth: “HOW IS THE KNIFE STUCK IN A TOMATO?!”

Ben’s want to woohoo with Celene is easily satisfied.

And Celene throws another house party!

Once again, it’s just Beth and Ben’s family.

She gets the silver medal she needs and moves on.

Beth doesn’t actually need to work anymore, so she quit her job.

Seriously? You’re mopping now???
Celene: “The floor is wet!”

Celene: “And this sink is just filthy!”
MAO AND BETH ARE WOOHOOING IN THE SHOWER!

Looks like it’s baby time!

Ben is the only other one awake, and he invited Sarah over to flirt with.

The want fulfilled, he rolled this one. I think it’s pretty clear he’s not actually interested in Sarah.

Meanwhile, Mao gives birth to a girl! Meet Hazel Riggins, she’s got Beth’s blue skin too!

Now it’s Beth’s turn to have her baby!

Another girl! Meet Mia Riggins, she ended up with Mao’s skin tone.

And both babies are crying at once.
Beth: “Why did I think this was a good idea?”

They’ll only be babies for a day, so Beth works on adding some mobiles to the cribs for when the girls age up.

Now that she’s no longer pregnant Beth can get back into her yoga!

Um… SERGIO IS DEAD! HE IS BURIED IN YOUR BACKYARD GRANT!!!

These two are my first infants and I’m really excited!

Here’s Hazel, she’s got Beth’s eye and skin colour with Mao’s hair colour. She got the infant trait Sensitive.

Mia also has Beth eye colour and Mao’s hair colour, but she also has Mao’s skin tone too. Her infant trait is Sunny.

THEY’RE SO CUTE!

AND THEY CAN TALK TO EACH OTHER!! Well, not really talk, more like babble.

It took Mao a few tries to get the hang of dealing with the infants.

Beth put Mia in the high chair to try out some food. (As you can probably tell, I don’t have the Growing Together expansion pack.)

It looks like apple sauce is a hit!

Mao tackled Hazel and some Mashed Mango.

Which didn’t turn out so well.

Hazel proceeded to make a huge mess.
Mao: “MY EYES!!”

Little Hazel got food all over her face.

It’s Winterfest and Ben decided to fight Father Winter for presents.

Which made Mia quite upset.

Cause she was sitting right there!

Mia liked applesauce so maybe Hazel will too?

Nope!

Beth: “That is so gross.”

Beth ended up trying out ice cream in desperation… At least we know Hazel is capable of liking stuff.

It’s power conservation day, so Hazel plays with the blocks in the dark.

She got sleepy though…

So Ben let her nap in his arms! Look at that face! Ben may be Mean, but he’s a big softy for his nieces!
Ben: “I am nothing of the sort!”
Are you going to put her in her crib anytime soon?
Ben: “That’s not necessary.”

Celene then threw another party…

But nobody showed up.

Naps done, the girls try out some more food.

Mia likes pretty much everything that passes her mouth, Hazel on the other hand…

Seems to prefer making a mess.

Huh, I didn’t know this was even a thing.

Beth: “So you think you and Celene will have some kids of your own.”
Ben: “Not for awhile at least, I think Hazel and Mia will keep all of us busy.”

They may not be his kids, but Ben has no problem helping out.

Even if he decides to fight piles of snow at random… *face palm*
Ben: “It’s not like one of my enemies are around to punch!”

Everyone else is asleep, so Ben bottle feeds hungry little Mia.

Ben then takes the day to hit the slopes!

He needs to get injured for his aspiration, so he does some skiing cause he’s not as good at that.

It took all day, but it finally happened!

Back at home, the moms are busy attending to the infants…

Cause they were absolutely miserable!

Then Hazel got stuck on the landing and no one could grab her or get her down. I ended up having to switch households for a few moments before switching back.
